make up brushes are so expensive! i want to know if it would work if i just used really soft paint brushes that are the same size as a make up brush. Would the brissels (sp?) fall out when applying the make up because maybe they're too weak? i dont know! What's the difference between paint brushes and make up brushes?
I think paint brushes usually have longer wooden handles. Will the bristles fall out depends on the quality of the brush itself more than if it was a make up brush or paint brush. Both make up brushes and paint brushes have high and low quality. They both work the same way. However, some make up brushes are hard to replace with a paint brush. So far, I couldn't find a good replacement for the MAC 187 brush. If you're on a tight budget, I would recommend getting high quality paint brushes like loew-cornelle. You can cut the wooden handle and the application is just the same. What's the difference between paint brushes and make up brushes?
I actually do use a couple paintbrushes for makeup. I have a really teeny tiny brush for applying liquid eyeliner, and another with a very sharp angle for the same thing. They work just as well, and are ten times cheaper than most actual makeup brushes. Only problem is the handles tend to be pretty long, so I usually break them so I don't have to worry about hitting the mirror with my ridiculously long paintbrush handle. I also got a bunch of brushes for a decent price at Sally's Beauty Supply. They work fine. I just don't like the idea of paying $30 for a single MAC brush when I can get the same results with a $2 paint brush from an arts and crafts store. Some people swear by their professional makeup brushes, but I feel like it's the skill you have, not the tool you use.
well idk the paint brushes arent made for that but it wouldnt hurt to try ... if not you dont need to get mac makeup brushes if you wear mac makeup i get my brushes at places where they are cheaper but still have good quality
its truly not what brand it is or whatever just as long as you make it look pretty ... if you want anymore tips add me as a friend and email me :)
Yeah. I don't like buying makeup brushes. I have some Estee Lauder face brushes, but I didn't buy them. I have a bunch of different sized angle paintbrushes that I got from Micheals for like 5 dollars. They work great for eye makeup, and I didn't have to spend $20 on an angled brush from MAC.
I honestly think paint brushes are the equivalent to other synthetic makeup brushes.
Of course they can't compare to natural haired makeup brushes that are designed to pick up more product, but as long as you clean it.. like you would any other makeup brush haha.. there's no problem with it
you actually could use paint brushes
like the big ones for brush or powder
WOW i never even thought of something like this
theres nothing different its just with the make up brush you get the like details and with paint brushes its just there
haha. not much. i use small paint brushes for drawing tiny designs on my nails and for applying liquid eyeliner. they work just as good, maybe even better.
i agree...LOL
