Is ELF a good brand for cosmetics and make up brushes?

is anything from the ELF brand actually any good?

including make up brushes etc?Is ELF a good brand for cosmetics and make up brushes?
its really cheap makeup, i mean its ok, but i dont reccomend it. it doesnt stay on and the makeup globs on and its rele weird. Is ELF a good brand for cosmetics and make up brushes?
Cheap cosmetics are ok for beginners, and if you wanted to do a light everyday look. As it gets pretty expensive to use things like Bare Minerals everyday or Bobbi Brown. As for brushes, it is just a matter of you knowing how to work with them, but I find that more expensive brushes tend to shed less. I purchase Sephora brushed and hardly ever have a problem with them shedding, but believe it or not my Bare Minerals brushes shed more and they cost a little more I think. I always buy gift sets so i am not positive on the cost for them.
the cosmetics SUCK but any brushes are universal. anyone can use any brush if they know what theyre doing. if youre still playing dress up, then use ELF. or going to a halloween party. but if you want to look all grown up, id go with a mix: Covergirl or maybelline foundation, ALWAYS use Rimmel for eyes (eyeliner, mascara, color) or Max Factor is also good eye makeup but it tends to get a bit expensive. it also depends on your skin. if it is dry, use a matte mousse foundation or a moisturizing skin creme under it. if your skin is oily, be sure to clean your skin very good before applying makeup. whatever you do, DO NOT USE AN OIL-FREE MAKEUP. it will dry out your skin even more whch makes (dun da-da da!!!) more oil. hope this helps!! good luck
Elf is AMAZING if you know what to look for and buy. Seriously..some of the products are definitely worth the price and I swear to you I use at least 3 elf products everyday.

Here's what I like:

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance - This is a god send...it's more of a highlighter than bronzer so boo elf for calling it that but it's frikkin amazing. It'll give your face this amazing golden glow that looks natural!

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Sunkissed Glow - use as blush (a bit) and it looks sooo natural!

All Over Cover Stick - makes for an amazing concealer!...seriously...i have awful under eye circles....nothing works except this stuff. I'm sure Mac or something else high end is better but I'd be happy if I just got this!

Shielding Hydrotint - As an all over tinted moisturiser? I don't know. But as a concealer it's great!

Candy Shop Lip Tin in Frosting Fanatic - Okay this'll scare you its like an orangey goldy colour but on the lips?...Perfect nude golden glow! It actually shows as well.

Eyeshadow brush - amazing...full stop.

Blending brush - as good as high end ones.

Moisturising lipliner in Natural Blush - perfect nude pink lip

Blusher in Glow - AMAZING...pinky peach glow!

Eyeshadow in Sage - others are amazingly pigmented too but thats my favourite along side mocha.

Oil blotting sheets - 50 in a pack!...great if you're not tooooo oily.

Super Glossy Lip Shine spf15 in Candlelight - I have most of them and love them but i'm a sucker for a nude lip and this is amazing. It tastes great, smells great isn't too sticky but don't use too much otherwise it can be a bit gloopy. very pigmented though..

What I didn't like:

All over colour stick - tooo frosty...no point to it...now use it as an eyeshadow base.

Shimmering Facial whip - gives an okay glow but i'm not crazy about it...i use it as a base now.

Face brush - I use this everyday but it isn't amazing...kinda scratchy.

Blush, blending bronzing brush - it's okay for contouring but too small for blush.

Waterproof eyeliner - it's looks great but smells funky.

Eyelash curler - I heard some amazing stuff about this but it didnt work on me...maybe it'll work for you.

The eye brushes are definitely worth the money but the face brushes not soo much...i definitely prefer my MAC 187 instead.

Hope this helped!

all make up as low as 1$ EACH!.. except for their mineral make-ups which are always pricey. Okay so first let me tell you that cheaper make-ups dont mean that they have poor quality as well. Remember that we have generic drugs which are way cheaper yet offers the same effect..And also other expensive make-up brands are paying too much for advertising and promoting their products through their perfect packaging style but as you can observe ELF uses simple and less complicated packs which are even practical. Person behind this amazing make-up line works for Neutrogena and hard candy products too. Its always wise to start with cheaper brands before indulging into something you might just regret later on. Their brushes are good. Heres a good link to ELF consumers about their reviews and comments on ELF's brushes: http://www.bellasugar.com/677861
If you are a beginner, it's best to see how you work with different colors and such, but I wouldn't suggest that you torture your skin with cheap, bad quality makeup and makeup brushes. Yes, the price is intriguing, but you will be regretting it later! Do yourself a favor and go to your local drug store (CVS, Walgreens) and start off with those brushes.
yeah it works good :)

oh dude........ they're switching their brand name EFL into just NORDSTROMS so they're selling all their make up for a dollar!!!!!! %26lt;3
