I was thinking this but maybe it would be waste of money?

The best thing to use to clean makeup brushes is regular old baby shampoo. It's the gentlest cleanser out there and will not strip your brush bristles or make them weaker or stiffer. What product do you use to clean your MAC make up brushes and how often?
I use Clinique Brush Cleaner, which is pretty much the same as MAC's brush cleaner from what I can tell, I've used both, I just like that Clinique's comes in a spray bottle so you tend to use less of it.
You can also use baby shampoo, however your better off paying a little extra for a brush cleaner since they usually contain ingredients that will not only clean but sanitize your brushes as well.
As for how often you should clean them, it depends on how much you use them. If you have brushes that you're using every day you should be cleaning them at least twice a week, because even if they don't look dirty, bacteria will still grow on them if they aren't kept clean. For brushes that you use less often, you can clean them once or twice a week. Once again it really depends on how frequently you're using the brush.
I do own the MAC Brush Cleanser now, but before I would wet the brush use a little hair shampoo( they are made of real hair) message into the brush rinse and let it sit out to dry. I like to clean my brushes when they start changing color or they get too stiff because of the make-up example liquid foundation on the brush. If you clean them too often your brush will start looking ugly with little hairs sticking out.
Hey!
I wouldn't bother spending money on that, you can make something at home that does the trick.
Heres a tutorial I found and use for myself:

every 2 or 3 weeks you should deep clean your brushes, which is basically washing them in a mild shampoo.
I don't have MAC make up brushes but I have chanel and the lady at the place there said just to use hand soap and water and gently wash them. You'll see the make up come out and it's crazy how the brush actually feels cleaner when you're putting your make up on.
I use the Sephora brand brush cleaner to clean my brushes and I clean my brushes after I put on my makeup everyday so that no residue or bacteria stays in the bristles.
Use shampoo and definetly conditioner. kim khardashian make up stylist suggested that.
I use Mac Brush Cleanser, it is $15, it's really worth it.
