What the question says.Could you use Paint brushes as make up brushes?
You can and I do, the only brush I have been unable to find is a powder/bronzer brush as an artist would have no need for a brush that soft and large, I actually own only 2 brushes that are actual ';make-up'; brushes, When you are shopping for them just make sure you ';break'; the sealer (cornstarch based, comes off in water right away, just holds the shape) and run it on the underside of your wrist so you can feel the softness.Could you use Paint brushes as make up brushes?
You sure can and it's cheaper. Many makeup and paint brushes are made out of similar type of animal hair. For example, check out lowell cornell's maxine mop brush available at Michael's craft stores as an alternative to buying the MAC 239 eyeshadow brush. If you google ';mac dupes'; you'll find duplicates or alternatives to MAC makeup brushes from various companies, including paint brushes.
Keep in mind that all brushes used for makeup should be thoroughly cleaned before using it on your face. Most companies, like MAC, treat the bristles with a special protectant so that it doesn't get damaged during shipping and while sitting on the store shelf. Wash with soap and hot water but be sure not to get the wooden handle wet.
Yeah you can actually! Like, you wont find your ordinary foundation, blush and bronzer brushes in the art section, But what you can actually use as a dupe to save money are to purchase the pointed tip for eyeliner, Fan brushes (to brush off fallen eyeshadow/mascara) Slanted brushes (for eyebrows) and Normal brushes to use for Eyeshadow ! Who said you can't use them? After all the ones that are listed are still either made of horse hair or synthetic, SAME THING, Different uses. Save at least $5?
I definitely would NOT reccomend that, hun.
It's going to look like you actually painted make-up onto your face, considering that's what they're for; painting, and it'll look like your wearing a mask of make-up. [Not cute]
If it's the price your worried about( make up brushes are waayyyy too expensive, in my opinion). Try Sigma http://sigmamakeup.com/ , i've heard their brushes work amazing. I usually buy the more expensive brushes like MAC Cosmetics and stuff because they last longer.
Good luck! (:
kinda, but i recommend the actual make-up brushes because it is soft, and comfortable to use.
although it is not a make-up brush, you can still use it since it is similar.

hope this helped(:
you sound blond. why in the world would you want to do that. they have a chemical in them so dont put them on your face. plus they are not a soft as a makeup brush
ya, i guess. I haven't ever heard anyone use paint brushes as make up brushes before, but it's made out of the same stuff.
I have a small angled paint brush I use for eyeliner:/ its wierd but it works.
if you use it right!
GL and live well
Probably
but you'll want to buy it new and only use it on your face.
