What is the best way to clean make up brushes?

and also sponges that you use to put foundation on.

How do I give them a good clean, any tips? What is the best way to clean make up brushes?
hi hun :D

i work as a Professional make up artist and on all my brushes i use MAC brush cleanser super product, gets brushes like new again and drys alot quicker then using soap and water. it also has the bonus of disinfecting the brushes so no nastys are able to survive!

you can buy it at all mac counters and the mac website, i think it retails for about 拢8.

for foundation sponges the really best way to get them baby's CLEAN is to chuck them in your washing machine lol it really works :)

hope this helps xxWhat is the best way to clean make up brushes?
I wash my makeup brushes in warm water and take a bit of shampoo (non-conditoning) and work that through the bristles well. Rinse, rinse and rinse some more. Then shape the bristles with your fingers and allow to air dry. If you can place them in the sun, even better!

The makeup sponges, I don't bother with. I buy them in a large pack, they're cheap and really hard to get clean anyhow so when they get icky, I just pitch them.
Put a little baby shampoo or liquid soap in the palm of your hand and rib the brushes, one at a time, over the soap and rinse. Be careful not to let any water get into the metal part of the brush as this will loosen the glue and cause the hairs to fall out. Lay the brushes to dry on a towel, reshaping them before doing so, and leave for a few hours to dry.
You can always go buy makeup brush cleaner. You just spray it on and dab it clean on a paper towel. For a cost effective way you can use vinegar and water. 2 parts water and one part vinegar. Dip the brushes and rinse with warm water. Easy as that ;-)

As for the sponges, throw them away and buy new ones. Very unhygienic! And sponges are way cheap!
they have makeup cleaner at Sephora, or you can use baby shampoo or any shampoo, just mix a little with warm water and make sure you rinse them good and let them dry overnight. or you can try Woolite. now for the sponges, you need to throw them out and get new ones. they get dirty and u will get more breakouts using the same ones over and over. they are cheap get new ones.
I wet the brush, put some baby shampoo onto it and swipe it from left to right in the palm of my hand, keep doing that for a while and if you find it needs to be cleaner then wet it more, and apply more baby shampoo. Rinsse the bubbles out and leave to dry.
Soak them in warm water %26amp; wash them with a mild shampoo.

U can actually buy shampoo 4 make up brushes from some beauticians.

When u've washed them squeeze or shake most of the water out, then leave them 2 dry naturally.
i would just clean with warm water.

soap may damage them and you may not get it all out, and then you are getting that on your face.

warm water will do a good job.
