How do I clean my make up brushes?

I have several make up brushes that I desperately need to clean and I don't want to get all that bacteria on my face and have to go get like super laser treatment for the potholes in my face taken off when I could have cleaned my brushes and prevented all of this. THANKSHow do I clean my make up brushes?
ok im a make-up junkie so my brushes get really bad this is what i do.

Things you will need

1.baby shampoo(lavender spells great)

2.Extra Virgin Olive Oil(can use also as make-up remover)

3. brush cleaner(optional)

4.clean spounce (just used for make up)

What i do

(deep clean)

1. get a paper towel and put and even amout of olive oil then i get brush and start with a circler motion once you see all the make up come off run in under warm( angain warm not hott and not cold.) make sure you just get the brisle try not to get handle. then get your wet spounge and put a small about of baby shampoo do the sam as you did with olive oil wich was move it in a circler motion then run under water again til soap is gone then get a clean paper towle and do circle moution so it can get most of water off the brisle then lay out brush down flat let air dry (i do this once a week)

EVery day use your brush cleaner it works enough for that everyday usage once a week do the deep cleen.

hope this works for you good luck! How do I clean my make up brushes?
LOL okay

If you have MAC brushes, get the MAC brush cleanser.

If you have regular brushes or even mac ones (you don't HAVE to get the mac brush cleanser you can just do these very simple steps)

And I am writing all of this down, not copy and pasting it somewhere else, I do this with my brushes.

What you'll need: 70% Alcohol, Baby Shampoo, Towels %26amp; Paper towels, Saucer or little cup

1. Wet all of your brushes

2. Take a little saucer or whatever and pour 70% alcohol on it. (no more than 70%, then it will be too harsh)

3. Take your wet brush and dip it in the alcohol. Just one dip and hold it upside down. Not upright.

4. Let the alcohol sink in for 10 seconds then take your paper towel and wipe your brush on it. You will see all the color come out.

5. Then, after you wipe your brush on the paper, pour some baby shampoo on the palm of your hand and lather your brush in the shampoo, use your fingers to work the shampoo in. Brush it on the palm of your hand, do whatever.

6. After, rinse your brush with warm water, make sure you have all of the shampoo out. Brush it against in your palm to make sure.

Then just do the same with all of your brushes and you're done! :D

The alcohol takes out the bacteria, even though some people think it is not good. As long as you have 70 or even 60% alcohol then it will not be harsh on your brushes. Then the baby shampoo cleans it out and conditions them.

DO NOT sit your brushes up when they are drying. The water can sift down after time and ruin the metal part, making it rusty and resulting in a broken brush. Lay them flat down and re shape them after you wash them with your fingers and what I do, is when I lay them on the paper towel on the counter, I leave the brush part hanging over the counter, so that the other side of the brush does not come out flat. It will all dry evenly.
There are different ways:

1. buy a brush cleaner (eg from MAC), or

2. buy an anti-bacterial handwash, make sopey water with it and clean your brushes with that water

3. use babyshampoo to clean them

Make sure to clean them properly until no makeup comes out anymore.

and leave them to dry NOT in a position where all the water runs into the wooden handle as that will make the wood slit open over time.

I just leave my brushes haning over the top of the window sil so that the bristles won't get quashed or anything.
Step

1

Run the bristles of the makeup brush under warm running water.

Step

2

Apply a small amount of shampoo to bristles and work into a light lather.

Step

3

Rinse bristles thoroughly under running water. You will notice that the water leaving the brush is tinted from old makeup.

Step

4

Continue rinsing until no color leaves the brush.

Step

5

Allow it to air-dry.
best bet is to fill the sink up with warm water and add a bit of baby shampoo... clean them in the water and then let them dry out... it is a lot cheaper than going and buying brush cleaner and i have been told it works better especially if you have sensitive skin
Don't buy brush cleaner because it has Alcohol in it that irritates the skin. I just use any plane shampoo and water and you will have clean makeup brushes. Hopes this helps!

ok. get a damp cloth or paper towel and lightly brush your brush on it. Most of the make-up should come off. It is pretty important that you clean your make-up brushes often. hope this helps.
There are make up brush cleaners you can get at any make up store.

If you dont wanna spend money on a cleaner, you can just use an anti-bacterial soap and gently wash it. then just let it dry by itself
this is easy and cheap rinse it under water and shampoo it. Then let it air dry.
get tissue and dab it on them if it doesnt come off get new ones but most of it should come. gd luck
Trash them %26amp; buy new ones. they're not meant to last forever.
Put them under the sink and in ur hand make a swirly motion. It is GROSS what comes out of there
u could use baby shampoo or buy a brush cleanser online or from MAC or wherever, they work best =) x x
