I'm looking to invest in some make-up brushes and want to know what the essentials are.

It depends on what kind/how much make up you wear! If you use liquid foundation, a good foundation brush is absolutely necessary! If you use powder, invest in a powder brush. You can also use this when applying bronzer. If you wear mineral foundation, its important to actually blend the foundation into your skin. A kabuki brush is best for doing this. A blush brush is important for highlighting and contouring your cheeks. Depending how complex your eye shadow routine is, I'd recommend at least investing in an eye shadow brush (sometimes called a C brush). Depends on how much money you want to spend. MAC is deff the way to go but if its to much get Sigma Makeup Brushes. They are a dupe of MAC brushes and they work perfectly the same and i mean it. I spend money on high end makeup all the time and have many MAC brushes but i still love and use daily my SIGMA brushes they are the same quality and cheaper a kit is about 67.00!! I prefer foundation with hands it blends better and has less streaks. An essential makeup brush kit for me would be ;

5. Buffer brush ( a dense brush to blend in makeup)
