I always use just a little bit of mild liquid hand soap under warm water.


I clean my paint brushes the same way.
MAC brush cleanser works really well. It is 11 dollars, which is an okay price. A cheaper alternative is Johnson's baby shampoo. It actually works well with my brushes!!!

Personally, I take any hand soap, body wash, shampoo, etc. and put a little in my hand. Then I swirl the brushes in my hand after they have been ran under luke warm tap water. Then I rinse the brushes (make sure the brush part is pointing down as to not disrupt the glue that keeps bristles together) and squeeze them lightly until the water runs clear. Finally, I lay then on a washcloth hanging over the side of the counter as to let the bristles be dried evenly. Hope this helps!!
