Is it safe to blow dry my make up brushes?

i just washed them and i have to use them soon, so would i ruin them if i ran them under a blow dryer with a low setting??





will they be shaped funny if i don't let them air dry??Is it safe to blow dry my make up brushes?

blowdrying will make your brushes prickly and not soft at all!


This is what I do.....





every 2 days, I spot clean with MAC brush cleanser:

I do this by putting some on a cloth/small towel, then swirling my brushes in it. you will see the makeup come off the brush.





Then, once a week for deep cleaning. i wet the bristles in warm water and gently massage johnsons baby shampoo into the brisltes, then let AIR DRY NATURALLY on a towel. MAKE SURE THEY ARE DRYING HORIZONTALY, not verticaly, becuase if they are vertical while they r wet then the water will drip down and make the metal parts rust.

NO! NO! NO! NO! DONT EVER BLOW DRY YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES!!!!! You can either clean them with a gentle cleanser (put some cleanser in your hand and swirl the brush around) and rinse them really well, then hang them over the counter (handle on counter with bristles hanging off) to dry. This way they do not get mis-shaped. also NEVER dry a brush standing up because then water gets into the handle and causes damage. You can also wipe the brushes over an alcohol swab for a quick fix.
NEVER EVER blow dry makeup brushes, they'll damage the hair making them brittle, just like heat on your hair, makeup brushes are hair too.
