You can get fur-free ones quite easily though, ELF do them and there are superdrug ones etc

absolutely animals are killed to make makeup brushes. It really bothers me when a company says they don't do it. There is a Mineral Makeup line that has the gawl to tell their clients that no animals were killed to make their brushes. I actually chatted with the owner of the company that supplies their brushes. He laughed at me when I told him the story that the Mineral compay tells their clients. He told me that if they were to give the animals hair cuts then gather the fur, they would have to charge 10 times the amount for the brushes. No one could afford them. He said that eavery animal hair brush comes from the Meat industry except for Badger and Sable brushes that come from the fur industry.
