MAC sells a brush cleaner that will condition and sanitize your brushes. It's about 11 dollars a bottle.
OR, for less than 11 dollars, you can pick up the ingredients and make your own! You will need
1/2 cup of bottled(purified) or distilled water
1/8 cup of rubbing alcohol (91% preferred, but 70% is okay too. This will sanitize your brushes)
1/4 tablespoon of a dish soap, like palmolive.
1/4 tablespoon of gentle shampoo, such as baby shampoo
and 1/2 tablespoon of spray on leave in conditioner. You can use regular leave in conditioner if you'd rather, but make sure you add a bit of water to to break up the chunks. (the conditioner will keep your brushes soft after you've washed them)
gently stir all of it together, but try to avoid making it bubble up. Pour into a spray bottle and spray on your brushes. Work it around by brushing in a circular motion on your hands, and then rinse out with water. Repeat if necessary. When you're all done, spray the brushes one more time, run them across a clean towel, and lay them flat to dry.
This cleaner is safe to use on your brushes every day, if need be, and you can find most of the ingredients at a dollar store, so they'll last you a LOT longer than any bottle of brush cleaner you can get anywhere else.

(I half his recipe, because my spray bottle is kind of small.)
Good luck!Whats the best way to clean make up brushes?
soap and water solution. maybe like a 1/2 tsp of soap with enough water to get the soap diluted and dip the brushes in and use your fingers to clean them and wag them around in the solution.
1. Baby Shampoo.
2. Brush Cleanser by MAC.
