Are make up brushes worth spending on? Or can I for go them?

The brushes seem so expensive!

Right now I just use my hand to smudge, are brushes really worth the investment money? Are make up brushes worth spending on? Or can I for go them?
definitely worth spending on BUT i'm with you on not spending ridiculous cash on them. you can definitely check out eyeslipsface.com for cheaper brushes but to be honest I would only recommend their eyeshadow brushes... the rest just didnt seem to work for me.

Also if you go to Target i'm not sure what the brand name is but they come in clear pouch like packaging with a baby blue backing (the card that comes behind the brush).. those are also great and inexpensive.

Also in some drugstores you can find a brand named Essence of Beauty brushes... they work great and wont break ur budget either.

*or* you can hop over to your local craft store and search actual paintbrushes... i would recommend the Loew-Cornell series because theyre soft and work great. I have three loew-cornell brushes .. one that i use for lips; one for eyeshadow and another for applying liquid foundation

the only reason we suggest brushes over using your hand/fingers is because oftentimes its easy to abuse the eye with the strength of your fingers .. you dont want to stretch the skin out so much on a daily basis. Are make up brushes worth spending on? Or can I for go them?
brushes are DEFINITLY worth spending on. It not only makes putting on makeup easier, but it will look alot nicer and more blended in. I used to do the same thing you are doing but I saw my friend using the brushes and her makeup cam out gorgeous!!! I RECOMMEND using one bought from a department store like MAC or Bare minerals. One from the drug store is a waste of money because it's cheap and the hairs on the brush are fake so picking up makeup will difficult. Brushes from Dept stores are made out of real hair and are also allergin free. I also recommend purchasing a brsuh cleaner or wash it with VERY WARM Water and BABY SHAMPOO because the other shampoos are to harsh.(wash maybe once a week) Reg. PRrice for foundation brushes are $25.00 but will last you A VERY LONG TIME MAYBE 2 YRS. Eyeshadow bruses are like $12.00. hope this helps!
If your willing to take the time to take care of them brushes are definitely worth the cost. They last forever, if taken care of. They let you blend your shadow really well, and there are so many different shapes, you can really get different looks. As for brands, I would try MAC brushes for eyes, I love them and have a ton. You can also try Sephora. Look for soft bristle brushes. I've also gotten a couple from a craft store, but be careful to get something like pony hair or some other natural hair brush. Getting a good brush cleaner or mild baby shampoo is also essential.
Well I've tried tons of different brands of brushes (expensive, cheap, everything) and I really love E.L.F. products. They're really cheap (each brush is $1, and shipping is very reasonable) and work just as well as any expensive MAC brush I've ever bought. The only two I don't really live are the blending eye brush and the foundation brush, other that those two I love them! Here's the website: http://www.eyeslipsface.com/depts.asp?de鈥?/a>
Brushes are so helpful and useful.

I bought a set of brushes at Costco and i love them. I also have more expensive brushes from BareMinerals and the Costco (Kirkland Signature) ones are great by comparison. I would definitely recommend them. The whole set was only about $20.
you should buy like a set of brush like from sephora or too faced.. each set cose less than 60 and it come with like 7 brushes..
